An everyday act of self-care is a chance to hit the pause button and find a moment of peace and quiet. Remove those dead skin cells and create your own little bathroom spa with this simple five minute recipe using ingredients you can find in your cupboard.
2 cups fine sugar or salt (i.e. caster sugar, himalayan salt)
1/2 cup olive oil
1 organic lemon, juiced
1 handful fresh mint, finely chopped
12 drops essential oil, optional (i.e. lavender, lemon)
In a medium sized bowl, combine the salt or sugar with the fresh mint. Add the lemon juice and olive oil and stir until smooth. If needed, add a few more spoonful of salt or sugar for a rather creamy than oily consistency. Pour in a few drops of essential oil and mix one last time. Transfer into a glass jar. Voilá.
